Mr. Du introduced background, production, pattern and application of nylon 66 industry. He also put forward original views on development direction of nylon 66 fiber in China. Around 80% of global nylon 66 polymer capacity is in Europe and America and about 20% in Asia. The supply focuses on a few international large-scale enterprises. In nylon 66 application, fiber and engineering plastic occupies almost 50% of market share.
Mr. Du pointed out factors that restrain nylon 66 development. 1. Restriction of feedstock production technology; 2. High unit consumption, large cost and poor innovation; 3. Blind development and dumping of the industry.
Global nylon 66 market will grow at a steady rate of 2-3% and the largest growth will be contributed by China. By 2022, the share of Chinese demand will advance to 40% in global market. Chinese companies may explore more differential and functional products and Yinzhu Group has already put more efforts on the development of novel fibers.
