Foreword

In 2023, the global economy is burdened with concerns of rising interest rates and recession, while China domestic economy faces pressure for a second downturn after a brief recovery in the first quarter. Although demand for travel has been fully released after the pandemic, the recovery of consumer spending remains difficult, and various industries continue to experience internal competition. The traditional manufacturing industry is still in plight. The nylon industry chain has severe divergence, with the surge in demand for travel-driven sun protection clothing leading nylon filament to achieve independent market status. Meanwhile, the engineering plastics industry has felt the chilling effect brought about by the decline in real estate and automobile consumption. In terms of the industry chain, CPL companies that suffered severe losses in 2022 unexpectedly turned the situation around in 2023, and the overall trend of upstream and downstream integration of the industry chain has gradually become clear.

Looking ahead to the future, capacity expansion will continue, and with the deepening of integration, the market structure and upstream and downstream games will also enter a new stage. In the trend where technology and functionality are increasingly sought after in the apparel industry, nylon filament may bring us more surprises. As the concept of sustainability is promoted, regenerated, bio-based, and biodegradable nylon will also take a place in the market. Three years after the pandemic and before the Hangzhou Asian Games, CCF invites you to join us in Hangzhou to explore the development trends of the nylon industry. Zhejiang Huarui Information Consulting Co, Ltd. (CCFGroup) will hold the 18th Nylon Industry Forum (2023) in Hangzhou during Sep 5-6, 2023. We are looking forward to meeting you in Hangzhou!
